In 1894 the above table was used to surgically remove a 20 lb. tumor from a chloroformed May Bradshaw's abdomen.

The table is now in the Thyatira Museum.  Coincidentally, Chloroform is now listed as a cancer-causing chemical!

A special thank you to the church, & "guide" Frank Deal, for the tour!

This cemetery has unique options for those who have passed.  There are traditional grounds, including a new section soon to be opened, cremation plots, (room for a stone & walkway), & a scatter garden.  The scatter garden is located at the entrance.  After a person is cremated their ashes may be scattered in this garden after proper services.  The person's name is also engraved on a stone at the front of the garden. Ingenious if  you ask me!
