Your Research & Its Future

A big question in genealogy, besides research questions, is what to do with a genealogy collection when it is no longer wanted or needed?

Here are some tips for you...

Don't:

LDS/The Mormon Church: The LDS will not accept originals.  They keep all of their information on microfiche.

Do:

Categorize: Categorizing the collection will help you understand what you have and who, people or place, it pertains to.

Kindred Roots Genealogical Society is willing to take any collection that does not have a home or a future.

We will sort and categorize the collection and make every effort to place items where they will most benefit researchers.

We are not supported by sponsors and are fully self funded.  This means we do not have the resources to buy collections.
