A signature of Nicklas Rubel was located on the original passenger's list for the Ship Harle, mastered by Ralph Harle from Rotterdam, which qualified Palatinates 01 Sep 1736 in Philadelphia, Colonial America. Hans Rubel, relation unknown, is also listed on this ship's passenger list.  His mark is present which indicates he did not sign his name, so spelling has no bearing.  Nicholas settled in Philadelphia where he died in 1785/86.
