Call Number Explanation
Over the years we have collected many materials
(over 100 titles actually). We offer free lookups for these titles. In order to organize our collection we
gave each item a
Call Number. These Call Numbers tell us where a title is located on our shelves.
This Call # system is much like the one used at your local library. The following explains how these
numbers are structured.
Example:
"Digest of the Early CT Probate
Records, Hartford District, Manwaring, 1904 [CT HAR.33 MAN]"
Call Number Breakdown:
"CT1
HAR2.333
MAN4
1state,
2county,
3category (subject),
4first
three letters of author's name.
Using the above example, if you
were interested in this title go to our request
form, using "CT HAR.33 MAN" as the call number.
a lookup.
Remember! If you request a Lookup from us you
must
have a specific Call # or Title in mind!
